About the Opportunity

 

The DevOps Manager is responsible for DevOps CI/CD pipelines & repo management, release train engineering planning and configuration management, non-production environment management and technology change & deployment management. You will work across the entire landscape for applications at RACV whilst having direct interaction with senior leaders.

 

We are seeking a collaborative professional with strong stakeholder management skills. Supporting the corporate function, you will be managing a team that can plan technical execution and change delivery.

You will demonstrate experience in implementing DevOps strategy, alongside of having the opportunity to inform how things work in the DevOps landscape. Daily responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Provide thought leadership and evolution of the DevOps practice to support a multi-speed agile. delivery methodology across the Technology platform and systems inventory
  • Work closely with the Cyber Security team to ensure that security is embedded and tested throughout the SDLC
  • Establish (with support of a Release Manager) and ongoing management of a release train engineering capability, process & governance model in service of multi-speed delivery in a multi-platform environment
  • Manage and ensure a non-production environment capability servicing the CI/CD, Release train and multi speed vision of delivery
  • Support and ensure the governance of the Change and Deployment Coordination function
  • On-board/train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards
  • Working with leadership across the organisation to keep relevant and aligned with business priorities during the development of the capability maturity
  • Continuously evaluate performance and progress towards goals

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Degree in an area of sub discipline and extensive industry experience of 10+ years’
  • Certification in ITIL, Agile Delivery Method, Waterfall Delivery Method, Cloud Engineering (Microsoft or Amazon), DevOps
  • Demonstrated experience in Technical Configuration Management
  • Self-managing and outcome driven
  • Prior industry experience in Finance Services or a regulatory environment (highly advantageous)
  • Technical Project Manager with PMP (desirable)
