About the Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Senior Acquisition & Retention Manager, the Business Development Manager role you will be primarily responsible for promoting and growing RACV Trade's core product Emergency Home Assistance. Emergency Home Assist provides rapid response Plumbers, Electricians and Locksmiths for households across Victoria 24/7. You will also be responsible for driving and delivering sales performance and channel optimisation across the Business-to-Business channel. Working within the Home Trades portfolio, this is an integral role in supporting the growth ambitions of RACV Trades.

 

You will be responsible for creating new channels to market through building long-term, strategic B2B and B2B2C partnerships and developing commercial relationships with industry associations and key industry participants across Building and Construction, Real Estate and other associated industries to deliver relevant RACV products and services to their end customers. You will have a strong focus on providing scalable solutions and processes to support these target markets differently to deliver membership and revenue growth for RACV Trades and the broader Home & Energy Division.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Home Trades team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

 

  • Support the delivery of new scalable solutions, propositions and processes to enable the distribution of RACV Trades products and services to target B2B2C markets.
  • Identify opportunities for broader mutual value across the RACV Group as well as new and existing Partners
  • Support the portfolio to build a scalable and viable referral arrangement model for B2B to drive acquisition.
  • Identify, drive and convert new business opportunities, partnerships and channels to drive membership, revenue, reach and reputation for RACV Home & Energy in particular across RACV Trades offerings.  
  • Proactively shape new commercial opportunities and setup new commercial partnerships to expand our Home Trades product or service offering.
  • Ensure product go to market activities are delivered in a disciplined and planned way, with strong collaboration of relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators by meeting agreed lead generation and sales targets.
  • Develop frameworks and metrics for measuring sales pipeline performance
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure sales, operations and service targets are met as well as new propositions and solutions are launched successfully.
  • Responsible for ongoing account management post sale to drive contract volumes and support client retention.

 

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Exceptional commercial acumen with proven ability to meet agreed acquisition and retention targets within a growth context
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as business, product or marketing
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in business development, preferably B2B sales and acquisition
  • Experience delivering solution-based sales with exposure within building, construction, or real estate industries desirable
