Assistant Company Secretary

RACV is looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to support our Company Secretary and Governance Counsel in delivering high-quality governance and secretariat services across the RACV Group.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, facilitate effective Board and Committee operations, and champion best practice in governance. You will act as a trusted liaison between the Board, management, and internal and external stakeholders, safeguarding organisational integrity and ethical standards.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and distribute agendas, papers, and minutes for Board and Committee meetings across the Group.
- Co-ordination of the board election process, member communications (annual report) and AGM processes.
- Maintain company registers and ensure accurate document retention.
- Assist with governance policies, regulatory filings, and compliance frameworks.
- Support Directors with inductions, professional development, and guidance on governance best practice.
- Be the alternative Company Secretary for RACV Group companies and some associates, attending meetings and preparing minutes as required
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years in a governance or company secretarial role.
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication.
- High computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CAS 360, Board portals).
- Integrity, confidentiality, and a strong customer service ethic.
Preferred qualifications include membership of the Governance Institute of Australia and/or a relevant tertiary qualification such as a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance or Bachelor of Commerce.
