Ready to make an impact? Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll take the lead as the primary point of contact for all general ledger reconciliation services across designated customer groups within the wider RACV business.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Accounts team delivers outstanding service. Your day-to-day will include:

 

  • Delivering accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations while identifying system and process issues impacting financial reporting integrity.
  • Preparing month-end journals with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensuring reconciliations are completed, reconciling items identified, followed up, and cleared within agreed timeframes.
  • Investigating and reporting on reconciling items to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Reviewing data processed into the general ledger and ensuring it is appropriately supported.
  • Driving process improvements by recommending and implementing simplification initiatives and strengthening financial controls.
  • Acting as the go-to contact for general ledger reconciliation services for designated departments and stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and brings:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or economics.
  • Solid experience in general ledger and bank reconciliations.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems effectively.
  • At least two years’ experience in a finance role (highly regarded).
  • Previous ERP system experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • A customer service mindset for both internal and external stakeholders.
