Lead the Future of AI at RACV as our AI Governance Lead
Are you an expert in AI, or governance, or even both, with a passion for ensuring technology is used responsibly and ethically?
RACV is seeking a skilled and proactive AI Governance Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI within our organization.
In this role, you'll be the linchpin for our AI governance framework, ensuring our AI program has the solid foundations as we scale. As part of our AI team, you’ll have an enterprise-wide remit working across AI initiatives in flight and those where AI is live, liaising with AI owners and users to ensure our use of AI is transparent, secure, and ethically used.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee AI Governance: Develop and implement robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the AI Governance Council and ensure our AI Register is accurate and compliant.
- Manage AI Risk: Coordinate the approval process for new AI experiment and initiatives, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. You'll collaborate with our Cyber Security team and beyond to ensure we monitor AI usage and that projects comply with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Compliance: Own and continuously improve key governance processes, including approval workflows and reporting. You will also oversee AI usage within our supply chain to ensure third-party compliance.
- Engage Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and external suppliers. You'll communicate the benefits and risks of AI and promote a culture of responsible AI use.
Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in AI governance frameworks and policies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a governance role (AI, data, or risk management)
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory considerations
- Experience in developing, documenting, and managing governance processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM or business-related field.
