About the opportunity
The AI Business Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in strengthening how our AI Strategy team and AI Streams operate. You will establish fit‑for‑purpose frameworks and processes that enable clarity, accountability, and effective prioritisation across a busy and rapidly evolving program of work.
Working across multiple AI initiatives, you’ll support self‑organising, cross‑functional teams drawn from business and technical groups. Your work will ensure alignment to strategic goals, smooth delivery of outcomes, and effective stakeholder engagement. You will also apply analytical thinking to evaluate AI opportunities and contribute to the development of high‑quality business cases.

A snapshot of what you’ll be doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery planning processes, and outcome management.
- Bring structure to teams through clear communication, coordination and collaboration.
- Establish and run fit‑for‑purpose planning and delivery rituals, including quarterly planning and sprint processes.
- Support the Head of AI and AI Stream Product Owners in delivering priority initiatives.
- Promote built‑in quality, continuous improvement and sustained business value flow.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and high performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships that enhance delivery and support successful AI- driven outcomes.
- Partner with the AI Value Creation Office Lead to provide project visibility, communicate updates, and ensure effective governance.
- Support the team by helping to manage competing priorities and minimising uncontrolled work inflow
- Assess potential AI use case opportunities in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Gather requirements, manage change impacts, and coordinate timing, training, and support needs.
- Complete cost/benefit and risk analyses for proposed improvements.
- Contribute to the development of business cases and recommendations.

Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, IT or a related field.
- At least two years’ experience as a business analyst or similar analytical role.
- Minimum two years’ experience working on projects with diverse stakeholder groups
- Formal project management training or certification (desirable)
