About the Opportunity

 

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance and on-going development of infrastructure utilising cloud technologies. You will provide technical knowledge, configuration management, and collaboration to meet customer requirements.

The DevOps Engineer will interact with stakeholders and vendor partners, support operations and contribute to evolving and uplifting the engineering practices.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Digital Operations & Software Engineering team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in the development, deployment and administration of Azure platform solutions as per designs created by the architecture team
  • Drive implementation of CI/CD processes for multiple platforms and assist in streamlining build processes that already exist
  • Work with application teams to enable teams to conduct code release into production and test environments
  • Help drive strategic improvements in security systems, processes and practices
  • Manage and optimise existing CI/CD pipelines

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring

 

Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. Creative problem solving, accountability and a quality focus is essential to success in this role. You’ll come with:

  • 7+ years experience with substantial experience and professional credibility
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language and experience automating infrastructure tasks
  • Holds a degree in an area of sub discipline and extensive industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the tools such as Azure, DevOps, Github Pipelines, Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Experience in monitoring pipeline performance metrics and implementing improvements as needed
  • Certifications in ITIL, Agile Delivery Method, Waterfall Delivery Method, Cloud Engineering (Microsoft or Amazon), DevOps
